Amazing tomato-based borscht, served by the loveliest lady, in the cutest little shop on the lake. She’s open very early and makes everything herself.

This cafe seldom serves rice dishes, but the original baked bread is best recommended. Freshly baked bread gives a feel-at-home vibes. The lady-owners are sweet and kind. There's a counter inside for lone customers and also an outdoor set-up for a group of 3-4. Great for summer. It is not really a kid-friendly cafe. I love their tomato-based beef stew. The price is very reasonable.

Classic café charm with friendly staff, cozy seating for 5–6, and a playable piano. Lake Suwa is just across the street, glowing beautifully in the morning sun — pure oldie elegance!
